BEGINNER LEVEL 1: Lesson 9 for Teachers

LESSON 9:  LIFE APPLICATION LESSON

THEME: Following God

VOCABULARY: neighbor, friend, brother, sister, mom, dad, big city, God, Noah, crazy, follow

STORY: There is a boy. His name is Jose. Jose is 12 years old. He lives at home with his mom, dad, sister and brother. His sister is 6 years old and his brother is 10 years old. They live in a big city. They have lots of neighbors.  Jose and his family believe in God and they go to church. Jose has some neighbor friends that do not believe in God. Sometimes it is difficult for him because he wants to be like his friends. He wants his friends to like him.  But Jose also knows that he wants to follow God.  When it is very difficult for Jose he thinks of all the great miracles Jesus did. He thinks of how he fed thousands with little food or how he healed the sick. Jose knows that it is very important to follow God even if his friends think that he is different.  Jose would rather be different and know that God is there for him than fit in with his friends.  Jose tries to show his friends that God does a lot for him and helps him in many ways. Sometimes Jose feels very good about his decision to follow God and sometimes he feels very sad.  However, Jose knows that God is always with him.
