INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 2 – Lesson 17 for Teachers

LESSON 17: LIFE APPLICATION WORSHIP

VOCABULARY: errands, heart surgeon, thugs

STORY: One day there was a man who went out to run some errands. His name was Chauncy Crandall. He was a heart surgeon. He lived in Florida. On this day he went to fill his car up with gas. While he was at the gas station, he saw three thugs coming toward him to rob him. He was very scared. He didn’t know what to do. He started explaining to the thugs that he is a heart doctor who helps people. But the thugs did not care. They kept coming closer and closer to him. He didn’t know what to do as they came closer and closer. Finally, when they got just a foot away, he lifted his head to the Lord and started to worship. He closed his eyes and lifted his head to Heaven and worshipped God with everything he had. He didn’t feel anyone come closer. No one touched him or robbed him. When he was done worshipping about a minute later, he opened his eyes and saw the guys running away in terror. That day he knew that the Lord had protected him. Forever he will lean on the Lord and know that worship has a power that can do so much for us.
