INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 2 – Lesson 13 for Teachers

LESSON 13: CREATE AND SPEAK 

ROUTINES: WHAT DO YOU DO EVERY DAY?

VOCABULARY:  brush your teeth/hair, sleep, wake up, practice, play 

STORY: Every day I wake up at 7 am. I get up and brush my teeth. I then eat breakfast and drink coffee. After I drink coffee I get ready for work. I go to work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm every day.  After work, I coach a soccer practice. After practice, I come home and cook dinner.  Then I take a shower. I then relax for a while and go to bed. 

ACTIVITIES: 

  1. Review the Vocabulary Words .
  2. Listen to Audio 1  as you read the story.
  3. Talk about what routines are. Tell the students that routines are things that we do every day. Share some of your routines (Examples are brushing teeth, going to school, practices, working, homework, etc.). 
  4. Give the students some ideas of the routines they may have. Give students some sentence starters and have them write their own routines.

    • Every morning I wake up at …………….
    • Every afternoon I…………
    • Every evening I ……………
    • Every night I go to bed at ………………..

3. Have students share their routines as a class. 

4. End class in prayer.
