INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 2 – Lesson 11 for Students

LESSON 11: PRAISING GOD

VOCABULARY: armies, invade, terrified, tiny, battle, defeat

STORY: There is a man. His name is Jehosaphat. He is a King. He is the King of Judah. One day he heard that three large armies were ready to come and invade his land. He was terrified. He was terrified because his army was tiny. He knew that since his army was tiny there was no way he could defeat three armies. He would not be able to save his land. However, Jehosaphat knew the power of prayer and asked the Lord for help. Through prayer, Jehosaphat heard the Lord tell him not to worry. Jehosaphat did not have to worry because the battle was not his, but God’s. The people of Judah all bowed down and praised the Lord. When it was time to fight the battle, the army began to sing to the Lord and praise him. When the army arrived at the battle, they did not have to fight because the other armies were already defeated! In the end, it was not Jehosaphat’s battle but the Lord’s. The Lord is always there for us. We just need to praise and worship him.
