INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 1 – Lesson 28 for Teachers

LESSON 28: READ AND RESPOND

THEME: The Father’s Love #2

VOCABULARY: kindergarten, worship, hungry, pots and pans, groceries, explained, neighbor, front door

The following is a true story that happened in a ministry in Medellin

STORY: There is a teacher. She is 25 years old. One day, her kindergarten students showed up to class saying that they were very hungry. They explained to her that they did not have any food and that when they went home they were really hungry. The teacher decided to use this as a moment to teach them about worshipping the Lord and that they could ask Him for help. The teacher put on some worship music and the kids all worshipped the Lord. They spent time singing and praying to the Lord. Then the students asked God for help, and they prayed that the Lord would bring them an answer to help end their hunger. That night, the kids went to their homes and they prayed over their pots and pans, and for their families. They prayed that they would have food the next day. The next day, one of the kids woke up and there was a neighbor bringing them food. Another student woke up and found that someone had left food at their front door. Someone met the mother of another student in the street and handed her a bag of groceries. The students were all so surprised. They ran to school to tell their teacher. Their teacher was very excited to see that God had answered their prayers. She sat them down and explained to them how much their Father in Heaven loves them. She explained how He loves them so much and listens to their prayers. The students were so excited that they shared their stories with everyone. They told anyone who would listen about God and how he had brought them food. They told everyone that there was a God up in Heaven who loved them so much that He listened to their prayers and answered them. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
