LESSON 22: CRAFT DAY

THEME: Following Instructions

VOCABULARY: Cut, glue/paste, color 

ACTIVITY: Make a “Grow with Jesus” Flower

1. Listen to the Directions.
2. Have an example ready based on the link above. Prepare materials ahead of time.
3. Ask the students, “How can we grow with Jesus?” (We can pray, be kind, listen to our parents, be helpful, love God above all, follow God’s rules, etc.)
4. Explain the craft:
   1. Each student will receive an artificial flower center. They will also receive artificial flower petals, leaves, a stem, and a piece of construction paper.  
   2. On each petal, the students are to write down (or draw a picture of) a way they can grow with God.
   3. Students then color the flower.  
   4. Students glue their stem, center, petals, and leaves on their construction paper.
   5. They can decorate the rest of the paper as they like.
5. If there is extra time do some worship songs with the students.
6. Have a student pray in English)
